The two-story building in New York City’s Soho district that was once home to John Lennon and Yoko Ono has been listed for the first time in 53 years for $5.5 million.
The couple bought the building in 1971 and lived there for two years until they moved into the celebrated Dakota apartment building. Lennon was assassinated outside of the Dakota in 1980 and Ono maintained her residence there until February 2023.
Ono also maintained ownership of the 3,800-square-foot Soho building, which was constructed in 1885. According to the property’s listing, the building offers an open ground floor with 14.4-foot ceilings and an open kitchen and bedroom loft in the rear, while the top floor comprises includes a large living space and a former recording studio.
