MBA Awards Over $156K In Path To Diversity Scholarships

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has awarded $156,463 in scholarships to 179 industry professionals under its Path to Diversity (P2D) Scholarship Program during the 2023 fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30.
The scholarships were given to industry professionals from MBA member companies seeking to advance their careers through MBA Education programs, courses, and select conferences. P2D scholarship recipients receive a voucher to cover registration fees, up to $2,000, for MBA Education programs, courses, and select MBA events. Applicants can apply for the scholarship up to three times during their career, representing a potential value of up to $6,000.
“MBA is committed to empowering industry professionals’ career growth through continued education, and the Path to Diversity Scholarship program builds a foundation for increased opportunity and success,” said Amber Lawrence, MBA’s associate vice president of diversity, equity and inclusion. “Investing in diversity within the real estate finance industry opens doors, breaks barriers, and fosters inclusion for under-represented professionals.”
