Tech Trends: Improving Real Estate Communications

This week, our Tech Trends round-up features new tools designed to improve the flow of information within the real estate environment.

Talking the Talk: Zillow (NASDAQ:Z, ZG) announced an upgrade for its artificial intelligence (AI) -powered search tool. According to the company, users can now communicate in everyday language over topics including commute time, affordability, schools and nearby points of interest. Through natural language search, Zillow analyzes millions of listings to deliver the most relevant homes or rentals personalized to the user’s references.

Zillow added that users can skip the filters and search in the Zillow app by simply describing their ideal home, just as they would when talking to a friend. They can specify details such as layout, location and style. Searches can also be saved and users can receive notifications when qualifying listings come online. This upgrade is now live on the Zillow app for iOS and Android devices and will be coming soon to Zillow.com.

“From streamlining the home search to personalizing the user experience, Zillow applies AI in practical ways to help people get home,” said Josh Weisberg, senior vice president of artificial intelligence. “Search is one of the bedrocks of our platform, and we’re always improving it to make it easier for users to find homes that meet their unique needs.”

Instant Valuation: The presale renovation platform Revive is now offering sellers and real estate professionals with free access to its AI-powered property valuation tools.

According to the company, the Revive Vision AI platform hosts the proprietary After Renovation Value tool and a neighborhood property conditions analysis tool. The platform offers insights on current and potential market value of properties, along with estimates on a home’s value with strategic improvements. The platform can provide basic insights from an address without requiring photos and can also offer in-depth analysis using photos and detailed neighborhood comparisons.

“Making Revive Vision AI available to anyone marks a new era in property valuation, where agents and consumers alike can access real-time, data-driven insights to make informed decisions to maximize the value of a home,” said Dalip Jaggi, co-founder and chief operating officer at Revive.

Creating Easier Connections: Airvine announced the general availability of its WaveCore product line of multi-Gigabit-speed wireless backhaul system for indoor connectivity.

According to the company, the WaveCore product eliminate the need for drilling to link areas within commercial properties with Ethernet cabling. The WaveCore system consists of a simple point-to-point bridge with two nodes, measuring 10.1″ x 2.7″ x 10.3″, that are installed one on each side of a concrete wall or a floor and/or ceiling. The WaveCore is a PTP (point-to-point) layer 2 Ethernet bridge that operates on PoE (power over Ethernet) or a 12V DC input.

“We have proven with customers for more than a year now that the WaveTunnel provides cost-effective Gigabit-speed connectivity in MDUs, factories, warehouses, conference centers and other similarly large properties,” said Vivek Ragavan, CEO of Airvine. “However, we could not achieve the company’s founding vision of providing pervasive indoor wireless connectivity because we literally kept running into concrete barriers. The WaveCore system surmounts these obstacles and enables us to connect wirelessly any building with any floor plan anywhere.”

Ensuring Pool Safety: Owners and managers of properties with swimming pools might be interested to learn that Poolert will be offering its Poolert S, an AI-driven pool alarm safety system that promises to revolutionize pool safety.

Poolert S’s Quadruple Alert System includes a high-definition AI camera, underwater motion sensor, real-time app notifications, and a home unit alarm, all working together to provide 24/7 monitoring. The new technology is equipped with advanced AI algorithms that distinguish between routine activities and real threats, ensuring minimal false alarms. Users receive instant alerts via the Poolert app, enabling them to respond promptly to potential dangers.

Poolert S features a wire-free WiFi connection and solar charging, making it easy to install on both inground and above-ground pools.

“We designed Poolert S with the vision of making pool safety smarter, easier, and more reliable than ever before,” said Jordan He, CEO of Poolert. “Our goal is to provide peace of mind to every pool owner, knowing they have the best technology protecting their loved ones.”
