The best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun inspire travelers to return to this lively beach destination year after year, and it’s not hard to see why. With food, drinks and activities all rolled up into one rate, guests know exactly what they’re getting, with no surprise charges at the end of the trip. In the age of sneaky fees and other hidden costs, it’s a refreshing change.
Aside from its sunny temperatures, swimmable beaches and storied archaeological ruins, Cancun is home to some of the best all-inclusive resorts in the world, from the family-friendly Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort to the luxe, adults-only Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun. Below, we’ve narrowed down the best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun for 2025.
Who Will Love It: Couples and friend groups that want an elevated all-inclusive experience with great food and prime beach access
All-Star Amenities: Oversized all-suite accommodations; Miilé Spa; 11 high-quality restaurants spotlighting diverse cuisines
What Not To Miss: An Excellence Club worth splurging on due to its upgraded amenities
Ages: Adults only (18 and older)
Location: Playa Mujeres
Distance To Airport: 19 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: No
Excellence Resorts has a reputation for quality, and the group’s Playa Mujeres property pulls off the enormously difficult task of providing a high-calibre experience for just about any type of vacation. Removed from the crowds of the Hotel Zone and Avenida Kukulkan, guests here are greeted to attentive and meticulous service, with spacious and modern suite accommodations and an atmosphere that more closely resembles an upscale hotel. Eleven restaurants offer high-quality dining and a mix of global cuisines that will ensure guests are never bored (the elegant French bistro Chez Isabelle is a standout). The property features seven swimming pools (two exclusively for Excellence Club members, making it worth the splurge), with an east-facing beach offering prime sunset views. Meanwhile, the brand’s beloved Miilé Spa features a hydrotherapy circuit and curated treatments sure to impress any wellness enthusiast.
Who Will Love It: Well-heeled travelers who want a luxury experience with high-end dining and amenities
All-Star Amenities: Robert Mondavi wines and top-shelf liquors (some at an extra cost); Bvlgari toiletries; butlers for each room; six restaurants and five bars
What Not To Miss: Complimentary daily use of the hydrotherapy circuit

As the all-inclusive model continues to evolve, luxury travelers are seeking all-inclusive resorts that mirror the type of experience found at an upscale hotel, which is where Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun comes in. While this property is located in the busy Hotel Zone, you’ll feel completely removed from the hustle and bustle once you step inside. The included butler service makes every request a reality, and all 259 of the modern guest rooms and suites offer ocean or lagoon views. Bvlgari toiletries add to the indulgent atmosphere, the design-forward pools look straight out of a magazine and the dining outlets are some of the best in Cancun (the intimate French concept Lumière is the only restaurant that requires reservations—once you dine there, you’ll understand why it’s so popular). Just take note that the crowd here tends to be quieter and older, which adds to the property’s intimate atmosphere: It may not be the best choice for those seeking nightlife.
Who Will Love It: Families and friend groups who want an activity-filled all-inclusive stay without breaking the bank
All-Star Amenities: Kids club; gym; water park; 10 restaurants and bars; group fitness classes; nightly entertainment; access to the spa next door at Waldorf Astoria Cancun
What Not To Miss: The property’s two beautiful infinity pools
Ages: All ages
Location: Riviera Cancun
Distance To Airport: 10 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: Yes
These days, prices for all-inclusive resorts seem to be rapidly climbing, but there are still many good deals to be had. Take Hilton Cancun, for example: With its spacious rooms, easy to navigate layout, and modern interiors that look like they would easily fit into one of Hilton’s more upscale brands, families and friend groups can nab a room at this resort for under $600 a night throughout most of the year, with prices often dropping below $400 during off-season. It’s certainly a steal when you consider the resort is fairly new—it opened in late 2021—and offers a wide variety of quality dining options for an all-inclusive resort in this price range. Families in particular will have a great time here, as there are plenty of entertainment options, fitness classes and activities for young ones. Added bonus: Well-made drinks (no watered down margaritas) are available for the adults to enjoy.
Who Will Love It: Travelers who prioritize prime beach access and ocean views
All-Star Amenities: Spa Aqua; Egyptian cotton sheets; Molton Brown toiletries; aromatherapy menu; Starbucks coffee served at Cafe Deli Boutique; nine restaurants; three bars
What Not To Miss: Chef’s Dinner at Latin fusion Mb restaurant
Ages: Adults only (18 and older)
Location: Hotel Zone
Distance To Airport: 12 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: Inlaakech only
Perched directly on the white sands of Cancun beach, Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun offers an ideal location for travelers who plan their Cancun vacations around being in the water. Here, guests have direct access to the Caribbean Sea, alongside a stunning infinity pool, multiple shoreline hammocks and sea views from every room. Higher-floor rooms, part of the Aqua Club, are worth the splurge for their sweeping vistas; guests can also enjoy nine restaurants and five bars, including Sea Corner, which serves up a delectable menu of casual tacos and ceviche, and the Latin fusion Mb restaurant, which features an impressive Chef’s Dinner experience. The property is also located just across the street from the popular La Isla Shopping Village, home to plenty of local boutiques. Just keep in mind that while a few of the bars host drinks and dancing into the late hours, don’t expect a robust nightlife scene here.
Who Will Love It: Travelers seeking high-quality dining, upscale amenities and luxurious suites on a white sand beach
All-Star Amenities: 13 restaurants; 12 bars; Nuup Spa; Greg Norman-designed golf course
What Not To Miss: The daily wine and cheese at sunset
Ages: Adults and teens (16 and older)
Location: Playa Mujeres
Distance To Airport: 20 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: Yes
It could be the five-star rating, attentive service, or perhaps the spacious and contemporary suites that has helped Atelier Playa Mujeres cultivate such a loyal clientele. But it’s the property’s 13 restaurants and 12 bars that are the real stand-out. While some all-inclusive resorts have earned a reputation for mediocre dining, that’s far from the case at Atelier. From excellent steaks at Los Abrazos to the flavor-filled al dente pastas at Cilento (don’t miss out on the pesto, and don’t be too shy to order multiple dishes), there’s no bad option on the menu at Atelier. The Michelin-recommended María Delores by Edgar Nuñez restaurant, which is not a part of the inclusive rate, is worth the splurge (guests who stay in an upgraded Inspira suite get one free dinner here). And the resort’s beverages are equally superb; bartenders here operate on a mixologist level, slinging true craft cocktails that wouldn’t feel out of place at a high-end bar.
Who Will Love It: Couples and travelers seeking a quiet and more intimate stay on serene Isla Mujeres
All-Star Amenities: Spa; Le Labo toiletries; complimentary morning bike tours (on electric bikes), as well as yoga and crafting workshops; private beach; four pools, including a rooftop infinity pool and a four-story waterslide; seven restaurants; five bars
What Not To Miss: Sunset at the rooftop infinity pool
Ages: Adults only (18 and older)
Location: Isla Mujeres
Distance To Airport: 25 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: No
Cancun is not typically known for being a quiet and serene getaway, but for couples who want white sand beaches and warm weather without the thumping music, the recently opened Impression Isla Mujeres By Secrets is a great choice. Located on the quieter Isla Mujeres, a ferry ride away from mainland Cancun, the property is comprised of just 125 suites, all with rain showers, a private balcony or terrace (some with ocean views), Le Labo toiletries and attentive butler service. The décor of both the rooms and the wider property showcase a blend of traditional Mexican craftsmanship with Mediterranean design, giving it a high-end feel reminiscent of a boutique hideaway in Santorini. Seven on-site restaurants, including the stand-out Italian outlet Spezia, all offer high-quality meals with attentive service, and a full-service spa is on hand for couples to enjoy.
Who Will Love It: Families seeking a resort with plenty of activities for children—and perks for adults as well
All-Star Amenities: Waterpark with water slides; two infinity pools; two children’s pools; six outdoor hot tubs; Dreams Spa; kids club; teens club; 10 restaurants; 12 bars
What Not To Miss: The lazy river, included in rooms booked at the Preferred Club level
Ages: All ages
Location: Playa Mujeres
Distance To Airport: 20 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: No
With so many family-friendly options in Cancun, it can be hard to narrow down the top contender, but Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort delivers on all fronts. Aside from having a large amount of child-focused activities, including a water park with multiple water slides and a lazy river, it’s also home to a wide range of entertainment, like nightly live music, stage shows and cooking classes, that the entire family can enjoy together. Adults can indulge in the on-site spa, and the property’s ten restaurants offer a solid mix of different global cuisines, like Peruvian-Japanese cuisine at Fusion, steaks at Brazilian steakhouse Gaucho Grill and elegant French cuisine at L’Etoile (ages 13 and up). The service is attentive and kid-friendly, and thoughtful perks, like the non-alcoholic kids’ bar Crazy Straw, ensure children will always feel included.
Who Will Love It: Families and friend groups with a wide range of different interests
All-Star Amenities: Three infinity pools; 10 restaurants, including the adults-only La Bastille; six bars; oceanfront spa; clubs for kids and teens
What Not To Miss: Drinks at the on-site microbrewery
Ages: All ages
Location: Hotel Zone
Distance to Airport: 15 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: No
For families and friend groups spanning a wide range of ages, it’s imperative to choose a property that caters to a variety of interests, and that’s where Hyatt Ziva succeeds. From its superb location on a powdery white sand beach to its three scenic infinity pools, 10 restaurants, six bars, water play areas for children and oceanfront spa for adults, everyone can easily find something to enjoy. The many included activities include kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, virtual golf, dance classes and even Spanish lessons. There’s live entertainment every evening (which adults can enjoy with a shot of tequila), as well as activity-filled clubs for both young children and teens. The variety of dining will satisfy every craving, with some outlets, like the French La Bastille and the six-course Chef’s Table (at an additional cost), featuring age restrictions that cater to adults.
Who Will Love It: Girls’ groups; couples; young parents
All-Star Amenities: Five pools, including a family pool with a splash park and an adults-only pool; Ciel Spa with thermal baths; screening room; two gyms; kids club; teens lounge; Ortigia Sicilia toiletries; 18 restaurants and bars, including a juice bar and a cigar lounge
What Not To Miss: Privilege, the brand’s third adults-only pool lounge outside of Dubai and Baha Mar
Ages: All ages
Location: Playa Mujeres
Distance to Airport: 15 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: No
The first all-inclusive resort from lifestyle brand SLS recently opened its doors in Playa Mujeres, providing a refreshing blend of lifestyle-oriented boutique hotel and upscale all-inclusive. Sleek and modern design, luxe amenities and prime beach access make it a desirable reprieve for adults, with amenities like Privilege—only the world’s third SLS adults-only pool lounge after the ones in Dubai and Baha Mar—making it a stand-out for groups of friends or bachelorette parties. The resort also strikes the balance of having enough child-centric activities for young ones to enjoy while still being a stylish and vibrant enough resort that feels geared towards young adults. Foodies can indulge in a wide range of restaurants and bars, including the sophisticated Smoke & Mirrors speakeasy and the well-executed Caracol, featuring a menu influenced by the Puebla, Mexico hometown of its head chef, James Beard Award winner Hugo Ortega.
Who Will Love It: Travelers who want an all-inclusive that still includes fitness and movement routines
All-Star Amenities: Rafa Nadal Tennis Center; Zentropia Spa & Wellness Center; complimentary fitness classes; butler service
What Not To Miss: Tennis lessons at the on-site Rafa Nadal Tennis Center
Ages: Adults only (18 and older)
Location: Costa Mujeres
Distance From Airport: 20 miles
Restaurant Reservations Required: Yes
Located right off the beach in Cancun’s northern Costa Mujeres, TRS Coral Hotel is the more intimate, adults-only sister hotel to Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa. Due to its vicinity to the larger resort, guests who stay here get all of the benefits of a more exclusive, adults-oriented property with access to many of the facilities next door. The resort is a particularly great choice for active travelers, as it offers a wide range of complimentary fitness classes, ranging from yoga and pilates to weight training, as well as the unique Rafa Nadal Tennis Center, which features eight tennis courts as well as coaching using Nadal’s very own techniques. After an active day, the Zentropia Spa & Wellness Center is one of the largest in Cancun, with vast amenities like steam rooms, a dry sauna and sensation showers that make splurging for a day pass worth it.
